"Spellbound" is a narrative 2d game about my personal experience with a condition called "Maladaptive Daydreaming", Depression, post traumatic stress disorder and suicidal thoughts. It depicts my reality from the point of view of a character called Vera, who suffers from the same conditions as I do. Players experience a therapy session in which they get to follow Vera's story. Please read the trigger warnings before you play through the game.

I like the narrative style. Peaceful to me. But I don't like the therapist's position in the end of story. It sounds poorly to me. I'll explain: when you think about inevitable thing (like death), it scares you, so any small thought become important to relieve the pressure. Be in the moment, trying to calm down, then you can start thinking (with fresh head) & fighting own fears (Vera's nightmare is reflection of hopeless and tiring life, I understand). It's good to have friend like in the game was. I don't have, so I'm going through life alone, but this game is a gift. It is more then a game, it's a helping connection. Thank you. I wish you all the strength to cope with your fears
That was an interesting little game. It made me thing about some stuff. I thing the mix of sidescroller and a visual novel works really well.
